Training courses

The DCS’s membership programme offers access to discounted training courses and events organised via the International Medical College (IMC). The aim is to promote the long-term scientific advancement of surgery, dentistry and related disciplines. A central component is an internationally oriented membership and fellowship programme, developed in collaboration with the International Medical College® (IMC) and renowned universities. It promotes the establishment of a globally networked professional community and supports clinical excellence, innovation and international scientific exchange.

The IMC offers a wide range of continuing education formats: the curricula are structured, modular programmes lasting 6 to 12 months, combining theoretical and practical content and specifically geared towards practical application. The short courses provide compact and flexible further education on specific topics – online, in-person or in a hybrid format.

In addition, the DCS organises monthly live online events that address current topics in oral medicine, as well as medicine and healthcare policy, and are specifically designed to encourage professional exchange and discussion.

Furthermore, practice-oriented courses featuring international speakers are offered on a regular basis. These cover topics such as dental trauma, modern implantology (surgical and prosthetic), aligner therapy, orthodontic concepts, radiological diagnostics (including CBCT), oral tumours and modern practice management. The courses take place in compact formats lasting one to three days and combine the latest scientific findings with practical application.

The membership programme has a modular structure and enables a structured career path – from student status to fully qualified membership. It combines academic qualifications, international networking and innovative learning formats, thereby making a significant contribution to the promotion of surgical and dental excellence worldwide.
